The Bloc announced a partnership with London-based healthcare comms shop Page & Page Thursday morning.

The primary objective of the deal is to expand The Bloc’s presence in the U.K. marketing and medical communications scene.

Specific details related to the partnership weren’t immediately disclosed, though a joint press release indicated that Page & Page’s data-driven strategies would be incorporated into the Bloc’s burgeoning global network to support healthcare clients.

The Bloc CEO Jennifer Matthews said the partnership with Page & Page marks a significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing strategic evolution.

“It’s inspiring to see the growth and development of The Bloc as we strive to make a meaningful difference in the healthcare communications landscape,” she stated. “Our commitment goes beyond data and science; it’s anchored in a profound understanding of patient and healthcare narratives, aiming for real-world impact. Partnering with Page & Page, we are ready to introduce cutting-edge solutions that will lead to meaningful advancements in global health outcomes.”

Page & Page cofounder singled out the synergy between the two companies as a motivator for partnering, adding in the old adage that “great minds think alike.”

“Around the world, healthcare needs to evolve,” he stated. “More people will benefit from more medicine if innovation reaches the market more efficiently. Our business is about creativity that alerts key target audiences to engaging content, inspiring different behaviors. We see these goals as deeply rooted in the community around The Bloc. Together, we can create waves and drive change.”

By teaming with Page & Page, the 2023 MM+M Agency 100 honoree continues to make inroads in Europe.

In September, The Bloc announced a couple acquisitions on the continent, including Italian communications firm Thenewway and X-Ray, a Swiss creative agency. The agency also debuted The Bloc in Germany, with the office based in Munich.

At the time, Matthews clarified that the deals weren’t simply for the sake of scaling operations but rather to amplify the enterprise’s impact in healthcare comms.

A few months later, the agency signed a deal with Impact Communication Partners and its sibling agency BioMedCom Partners to expand its medical communications offerings in both North America and Europe. This marked an extension of its previous collaborations with Impact on high-profile client accounts.

The dealmaking and collaborative efforts come as The Bloc seeks to rebound from a difficult 2022.

According to MM+M Agency 100 2023 revenue chart, the agency reported a 26% drop in revenue to $42.2 million from its 2021 revenue of $56.7 million.
